GARDEN DESIGN – DISSOLUTION

One of my first creative and favorite projects so far

One of our first project studying to become a Garden Engineer was to interpret an artwork and create a garden inspired by it. I got an artwork by Paul Klee. It was filled with green blocks of color, a checkered pattern and black lines.

I translated it into pergolas and tiles and parted the garden in the same patterns as the big green blocks.

I came up with the theme dissolution, the transition between the geometric and hard buildings and the soft nature.

It can be seen through the pergolas that goes from very constructed to be picked apart the closer to nature you get and to finally be completely transformes into trees.

The tiles also dissolves into the grass.

The closer you get to the edge of the garden, the cut grass turns into higher grass and the bushes and trees.
